Each time I hear Obama speak, I am blown away. Blown away by his message and in his ability to deliver it.
He speaks plainly and with purpose. He speaks truthfully and with conviction but what is even more amazing is that when he speaks, people listen.
Not only do people listen, people believe and that is the most profound demonstration of leadership I have witnessed in my lifetime.
Obama’s words remind me of a Margaret Mead quote:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
The sun is shining, the TV has been turned off and it is time for me to get Barack to work.
