Why going green is way to go …

Since having our daughter 4 years ago, my husband and I have made a concerted effort to buy quality products for her and our son.

It is sometimes tempting to pick up something because it is “just a couple of bucks” but usually there is a reason for the cheap price tag.  It could be the unfair labor conditions under which they were made, the poor quality or craftsmanship, or worse, it may contain toxins.

You cannot pick up a magazine or read the news without hearing about the dangers out there that our children unknowingly face.

I am not one to fall into the trap of scare tactics but where there is smoke, there is fire and there is enough proof that certain children’s products contain harmful chemicals and that is enough for me to read labels, check ingredients and determine where and how products were made prior to purchasing them.
