Cool Customer: Janice

Our Cool Customer feature captures the essence of some of our amazing customers. We are so grateful for each and every customer that chooses to support Raspberry Kids and this segment allows us to introduce you to some of our brand champions who help spread the “word of mom” about us! Are you interested in being profiled as one of our cool customersWe would LOVE to hear from you! Email us at: coolcustomers@raspberrykids.com

Today, we would like to introduce you to Janice, the Sprig Toys fanatic. Janice has been a customer of ours since December of 2010 and here is what she has to say:

RK: Tell us a little bit about your Raspberry Kids!
JF: Our little boy will be turning 3 in a couple months (eek!) and our little girl is 1.5 years old. They both love to run, run, RUN!

RK: What is your definition of “Cool”
JF: Something “cool” is something that makes you happy and makes you smile.

RK: What is your fave activity to do with the mini me(s) in your life
JF: We love to go for walks to the park, watch movies (both in the theatre and at home – popcorn required!) and recently, sing along to music from GLEE.

RK: Of all the products we carry, what is “the one” you dig the most
JF: We absolutely love the Light My Fire BPA free Sporks. They are a part of our day each day, every day. Another big favorite are your Skip Hop Zoo plates – our little ones always eat more when these plates and bowls come out of the cupboard!

RK: Tell us about your proudest moment as a parent to date? Don’t hold back, go on and gush!
JF: I know children are all different, it’s up to them when they’re ready and I’m sure he’s not the youngest to ever reach this milestone but I’ve always been extremely proud to say that my little boy was fully potty trained just a little after he turned 2 years old . As for my 1.5 year old little girl… she knows how to shake hands and say, “Nice to meet you!” =)

RK: Did you find that sleeping when the baby slept wasn’t really possible (ie. when you have an older sib running around) If you could give one piece of REAL advice to expectant mothers, what would it be
JF: Don’t just take pictures, take video clips! A day will come (sooner than you think) when you’ll miss those newborn cries, and those 20-30 second video clips will take you right back to those first few days of your child’s life – and with being so sleep deprived, these video clips may actually remind you of what happened all together! Aside from that, it’s COMPLETELY OK to take some time for yourself here and there, and there’s no reason whatsoever to feel guilty about it. You may be a new mother but you’re also human and asking for help just shows you care enough about your new baby to take care of yourself too.

RK: Time to lay on the sap. What does being a mom mean to you
JF: To me, being a mom means sacrificing the last bite of your favorite cupcake for a sweet little “peeeze, Mommy?”.

RK: What is/are your favorite aspect(s) of shopping with Raspberry Kids
JF: Raspberry Kids has great customer service, knowledgeable team members and wonderful eco-friendly products. I’ve never sent an email that had been overlooked and there hasn’t been a time when I’ve called to stop by where I’ve been turned away. Oh, and you have yummy raspberry lollipops!

RK: Close your eyes and fantasize about your life “PK” (pre-kids), what do you miss the most

JF: I miss the freedom of being able to pick up and go anywhere, anytime… but I’d miss the laughs, cries, “mommy!”s and spilled milk WAY more if my life was any different! Wellll… OK, maybe I won’t miss the spilled milk so much =)

Products as seen with Janice’s Raspberry Kids:

RK: What blogs do you fancy
JF: LOVE One Smiley Monkey (I was even able to meet Angela for the first time, when we both participated in the Great Cloth Diaper Change in April). I also follow Tammi of My Organized Chaos and Amanda of Natural Mommie. And for a daddy’s perspective, a new blog I’ve recently begun following: Mr Mom vs Baby. (All Canadian, by the way – GO Canada!)

RK: Which word from our tagline would you use to describe yourself Fresh Healthy or Fun and why
JF: I’d like to think I’m fun! To me, laughter should be a part of your day, every day. If you’re not having fun, what’s the point?!

RK: To wrap things up, please tell our readers what your personal 3 word tagline is!
JF: ~Mommy, Wife, Friend~
more specifically: Mommy to Two, Wife to One, Friend to Many!

Thank you so much for your time Janice and for participating in our Cool Customers profile. At Raspberry Kids, we pride ourselves in knowing cool when we see it or hear it and you are definitely cool in our books!
