Our Cool Customer feature captures the essence of some of our amazing customers. We are so grateful for each and every customer that chooses to support Raspberry Kids and this segment allows us to introduce you to some of our brand champions who help spread the “word of mom” about us! Are you interested in being profiled as one of our cool customers
We would LOVE to hear from you! Email us at: coolcustomers@raspberrykids.com
Today, we would like to introduce you to Natasha Lord, one of our amazing customers since early 2010.

RK: Tell us a little about your Raspberry Kids?
NL: “We have two cute little chappies. So cute that the older dames of the neighborhood are constantly stopping us and peering at them. Our older son, Elijah (4yo) shouts, “”STOP LOOKING AT ME”", while the younger, Sebastian (9mo) gives them a grin and chuckles at his brother.
Elijah is a non-stop chatterbox and a busy bee. He loves to snuggle on the couch and watch movies too. His all time favourite things are dinsosaurs, dragons, knights, castles and Star Wars.
Sebastian can be a little bashful, mostly he’s friendly and smiley. He’s very quiet and loves spinning wheels on cars. His favourite toy is his MiYim sleeping frog. He gets very excited when he sees it.”
RK: What is your definition of “Cool”?
NL: When your 3yo looks at his dinner and says “WOW!! broccoli”
RK: What is your fave activity to do with the mini me(s) in your life?
NL: We love going to the park. The boys need loads of fresh air and a lot of running around to wear them out. There is a great sprinkler area in our local park that our oldest son started walking in, and this summer, our youngest will be able to enjoy it too. We LOVE summer!
RK: Of all the products we carry, what is “the one” you dig the most?
NL: I have never really liked plastic, lights flashing, battery required toys. I’m very happy to see that you stock a large range of wooden toys. This is my favourite section on Raspberry Kids. I also love the Let’s Eat section. Lots of ideas to cut down on lunch packaging waste. In particular, Elijah loves his Goodbyn. It receives many great comments and a friend was inspired to order one from you also.
RK: Tell us about your proudest moment as a parent to date? Don’t hold back, go on and gush!
NL: Taking the two boys to New Zealand for a month on my own in January. People thought I was quite mad, but I knew that they would cope just fine with the long flight. It was worth any hiccups during our travels (long days in the car, flooded roads, slips, detours, and not staying still for photos). My NZ family loved meeting them and Elijah had a wonderful time with his cousins at the beach, seeing Kiwi’s and other NZ birds and animals. It was fantastic.

RK: Did you find that sleeping when the baby slept wasn’t really possible (ie. when you have an older sib running around)? If you could give one piece of REAL advice to expectant mothers, what would it be?
NL: Trust your instinct. We all know what to do, but in the dark hours we question our judgement. Do what you feel is best for you and your baby. Ask for advice when you need it, try it and discard it if it doesn’t work for you. Always remember, being a mum doesn’t make you an expert, nor anyone else!
RK: Time to lay on the sap. What does being a mom mean to you?
NL: I love watching these two little people in our lives, develop and learn. It’s amazing to sit and watch them play, or pretend we’re doing something else so we catch Elijah singing a little song to himself. He’s very bashful when it comes to singing.
I love that we are shaping the lives of two people, and hope we are able to help their individual personalities shine.
RK: What is/are your favorite aspect(s) of shopping with Raspberry Kids?
NL: The site is very easy to navigate, it is well laid out. You are very efficient in getting the orders sent, and I love the personalised card you send in the order. It shows that you value your customers.
RK: Close your eyes and fantasize about your life “PK” (pre-kids), what do you miss the most?
NL: I miss going on adventure holidays, hiking in South America and Europe, backpacking around Egypt and India. We are taking more sedate holidays these days but as the boys get older we look forward to showing them more interesting, culturally diverse countries.
RK: What blogs do you fancy?
NL: What’s Up Pussycat? This is a blog written by an Australian living in Scotland. It is about the only one I read. Which reminds me, I haven’t read it in a long time. I will make a cuppa and have a catch up.
She also has a second blog detailing her amazing weight loss. She is an ordinary girl who happens to be inspiring.

I highly recommend to mothers out there a forum, it’s UK based, but there are mothers from around the world on it, supporting each other, sometimes giving each other a kick up the backside, and providing plenty of laughs.

RK: Which word from our tagline would you use to describe yourself? Fresh? Healthy? or Fun? and why?
NL: I like to think I’m Fresh. As in showing Elijah and Sebastian a fresh approach. Taking the time to explain how things work, why things are a certain way, stopping to admire something we see, and giving him new ideas to absorb.
RK: To wrap things up, please tell our readers what your personal 3 word tagline is!
NL: KEEP IT FUN!
