It has been 3.5 days of lifting, stairs, sweating, torrential rain mixed with sunshine, packing, unpacking, dismantling, setting up, trips to Costco, Canadian Tire, Save On foods and a lot of sweat equity from my better half but I am pleased to say our new warehouse is 95% set up! Still need to finalize the phone lines, internet, printer & a few other minor details and we are good to go.

I do tend to get excited about a lot of our products but I get especially excited when I find products that I think moms can really use and appreciate. Products that are well designed, have a nice aesthetic yet are functional.

Feeling hungry? Why not give peace (and peas) a chance at mealtimes.
My entire career I have wanted to work somewhere that I could take my dog to work. Those of you who know my gifted labrador would understand just how insane a thought this is since Beli (named after Beliche Beach in Portugal where my hubby proposed) does not listen, eats everything in sight and insists on grabbing the first thing he can find to greet everyone with. Today, for example, he attempted to drag his bed to the front door as a welcoming gift to someone who stopped by. His retriever instincts kick in every time!
Now that the renos on our home office are complete, I excitedly bought a second dog bed so my favorite four legged companion could keep me company in our den and help to inspire me throughout the day. He is actually rather lazy and sleeps a lot so he is not exactly setting a great example for me!
Not only is Beli our first child, my husband describes him as the most expensive dog ever. He jokes that the only reason we bought a house was so that I could fulfill my lifelong dream to have a pet.
Even though Beli has been neglected a bit in the past few years since we have had children he loves us and is as loyal as ever (provided we feed him). He is best buddies with our two kids and follows them like shadows especially when they have snacks in hand. They ride him, pull his tail and crawl all over him and he loves every moment of it. As I blog he is sleeping at the foot of my son’s bed and is so happy to be a part of our crazy family.
A few years ago I read John Grogan’s book Marley and me. I laughed, I cried and I am eagerly awaiting the movie release later this year because as a fellow labrador owner, I could relate to every page of this story.
